Camp Memories

Camp Recount

I was so very excited to go camping. I had been waiting since day one to go to camp. Me and my friends Rhianne, Betty and Carolyn were waiting and jumping with joy. When we arrived at camp we had to assemble in our activity groups. We then went to see our cabins .my reaction was amazing I was stunned by how the cabin was looking. The cabin was very big it was the biggest cabin out of all of them. Everyone was a tiny bit jealous of our cabin.

 After that, we did our activity’s our first activity was Go Karting I was scared when we did go karting after I finished the first three I stopped wanting to go I was scared that I would crash so badly that I would end up in the hospital.

Then we played volleyball with Miss Virginia then we ate mac and cheese it was purely delicious. It looked like then color on mars bright orange. After that we had a play outside and then we had a bush walk when we went up the hill I was restless but when we started going up the hill more I started to get very tired I was behind the whole school and even behind St Therese.


When we finished the walk we straight went to bed I kept waking up in the middle of the night because Betty was snoring but she eventually stopped and then I fell asleep.

It was morning and I had breakfast it was delicious after that we played outside I made a friend their name was Aline, Christina, and Mele they were from Saint Therese school. All four of us were playing Truth or Dare. all of us picked dare They were exercise dares like run a lap from the cone and back.

I and Aline had a lot in common. We both love sports, and both of us are funny with each other.  

We went on the water slide after I met my new friends from St Therese. When I was sliding down the waterslide I was slowly regretting going on the slide but it was too late and I dashed into the water before I even knew it. I was panicking because I couldn't reach the ground but Miss Goodier said “it was ok because I had a life jacket on” so I tried to swim to the ladder. The day after I was packing my bags to go and we did a skit. After that, we had lunch I had a burger and fries when we were finished eating Ms kopua  I said goodbye to Aline, Mele, and Christina then they went back to their school and so did Christ the king.

My Time on Planet Venus

Dear, Mum, and Dad I am having a great time on Venus. You're probably wondering why I went to Venus, I went to Venus is because I am crazy and I want to explore a new world, The Solar System. I love it because it is Winter in your world but on Venus, it is warm but hot at the same time.

 Maybe on the day, you should come along with me because on Earth there's Climate Change and I don’t want New Zealand or other Pacific countries to be flooded underwater.

Venus is kind of boring there's no electricity and Mcdonalds or fast food places But most importantly is that there is no real food Sometimes I get angry because we always have to eat plain space food. On Venus, my favorite space food is space candy. In space, I love jumping high in the glowing galaxy.

I want to stay but at the same time, I want to come home and swim.

Did you know that the planet is named for Venus, the Roman goddess of love and beauty and Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system except for the sun.

Venus is the only planet in the Solar System to be named after a female figure.

This is our Movie about Martin Luther King Jr. We created a movie about him is because he is an Unsung hero.

Whetu and Nick Show

When I went to school I was full of excitement and I was waiting for my friends. I was jumping around while full of excitement. When my friends came it was finally time to go on the bus. As I was walking into the bus I saw my buddy Tiare. When we sat down we started singing with the years 7 and 8 's. While I was singing I forgot that we were going to the Manukau Vodafone Event Centre. When we got there I didn’t expect that there were going to be collages there. When I was looking outside I was amazed at the view. The story was about a British boy named Nick and a Maori girl called Whetu. In the first part, they met and Whetu thought Nick was a threat to her country. Then they became friends. Nick was kind of afraid of her. When they first met they bonded together. Nick spoke English, and Whetu spoke Maori. I didn’t understand Maori. The main part was when Whetu and Nick were looking for the map and Whetu’s kite called the Manu tukutuku. The best part was when Nick’s shin was bleeding from the tuatara attack. It was funny because he was scared and screaming. The whole audience was laughing. I felt sad when the ship went away because Nick couldn’t go back home to Britain to see his family and friends. My favorite part was when Whetu was singing and Nick was sleeping. I didn’t know if Whetu just spoke Maori or English at the beginning. I loved the special effects used. The stage and the lighting were impressive. My favorite effect was the colorful lighting. When the show finished, we met the actors and took photographs with them. Then we headed to the bus. I then sat down with my buddy Tiare and sang songs together. While I was on the bus I was thinking about the show. When I was watching I felt happy and excited. I loved the show, and it made me wonder how they made the backdrop. Did they make it all together or did the staging department make the backdrop.

As I was watching TV my Mum told me to get up and get dressed.
When I finished getting dressed we went to the car, drove to Puhoi
to pick up my Dad. While I was  in the car I was wondering where
we were going, so I asked my mother. She said “We are going to
town to ugly hotdogs”. 

After that Karla said “We are going to Ugly Hotdogs”. They sell
Mozzarella sticks. As we arrived in town we saw the ice skating
stage and I didn’t know that there was going to be a little mini night
market in front of the ice skating stage. Then we saw in the middle
Ugly Hotdogs. While I was looking at the menu, I wanted to buy
two Hotdogs and two scoops of Hot Chips. Karla had the Nacho
Cheese  Mozzarella stick, and I had a normal Mozzarella Cheese
Stick.

When we ate our Mozzarella sticks. I was amazed with the taste,
I loved them. They were like a dream.

As we finished our Ugly Hotdogs we went to Time Out and that's
where the arcade games were. My favourite arcade game was the
Basketball game and my least favourite was the shooting game,
where you had to shoot at scary animals like snakes, spiders and
dragons. 

After going to TimeOut, we went to Aqua (the ice cream shop).
My Mum asked me to go and check if it was open. I went to check
and I was so happy. It was open. Aqua is popular because they
have delicious ice cream and they put cotton candy around them.
I had two half scoop ice cream. My first flavour was strawberry
tart and my second flavour was blue taro. The flavours were very
exotic. My ice cream had a rich flavour, it tasted like vanilla with
a little bit of sour.

While we were eating our ice cream we were playing at the park.

 When we finished our ice cream, we went Puhoi passed the Harbour
Bridge to Puhoi to drop off my Dad, then we went home.
